Eric Berkman earned a B.A. in biology/psychology from the University of Texas before graduating from the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport. Dr. Berkman was awarded a trauma/spinal instrumentation A.O. fellowship in Basel, Switzerland. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is licensed to practice in the state of Texas.

Dr. Berkman’s professional memberships include the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society and the Louisiana Medical Society. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
