John Berry received his B.A. from the University of Oklahoma in Norman and graduated from the Baylor College of Medicine. His internship was completed at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, New York and his neurological surgery residency was completed with Baylor Affiliated Hospitals as well as at University Hospital in London, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Berry also completed a neurological surgery fellowship at University Hospital in London, Ontario, Canada. He is certified by the American Neurological Surgical Board and is licensed to practice in the states of Texas, Tennessee and Georgia.

Dr. Berry is an assistant clinical professor of neurosurgery at the Baylor College of Medicine and has served as assistant professor at the University of Texas Medical School.

Dr. Berry’s current hospital appointments include Memorial Hermann Hospital, Saint Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Memorial Hermann Southeast, Memorial Hermann Southwest, AMI – Twelve Oaks Hospital, Bayshore Medical Center, and AMI-Park Plaza Hospital. He served as Chief of Neurosurgery at Saint Joseph Hospital from December 1994 to December 1999 and Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital from January 1999 to December 2004.

Dr. Berry is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society, the Texas Neurosurgical Association, the Houston Neurological Society, the American College of Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurosurgery, the American Medical Association, the Tennessee Medical Association, the Hamilton County Medical Society, the AED Honorary Premedical Society and the Osler Society.
