Sally Heckelman, RN - Clinical Educator

A native of the Chicago area, Sally Heckelman became a Texan in 1979 and after a short residency in North Carolina for nursing school, returned to Texas to begin her career in Perioperative Services in 1989. She has worked as an operating room nurse in many specialties, managed two free standing ambulatory surgery centers while continuing to provide direct patient care in all phases of the perioperative experience. Her accounting and computer software business experience before becoming a perioperative nurse has prepared her for the electronic medical record era of the 21st century.
